Delivering Support

That hand on mine, is the hand of an obgyn who saw me through miscarriage, through infertility, through Sloan’s pregnancy and post partum depression. Who only days after we lost him, called us in and sat with us in her office while we sobbed on her shoulders.
She has comforted us, supported us, guided us. She is a glue in our lives, a pivotal part in our journey as parents. That hand has held me through the worst, and the best parts of my life for the past several years. And two days ago, that hand held mine yet again, after we ushered another miracle into our world.
That hand belongs to a doctor who has both changed our lives, and become a part of our family.
